does your mom actually read your blog, bill?

Sometimes. She’s unfortunately not much of a “computer person,” as she puts it, but she likes checking in on my various social media outlets, either because she wants the reassurance that I’m all right or because she’s proud of practically everything my sisters and I do.

It’s only occasionally embarrassing. Not because she’s alarmed by my experiments or she has a few choice words about the information I share. No, it’s because she sees the banter between myself and the various eligible colleagues of mine, and whenever I call her (which I’m obligated to do once a week unless I want my older sister to kick down my door), she wastes no time in reminding me that she’s worried that I live “all alone, even if that nice [insert colleague’s name here] is clearly very fond of you.”

Gee. I wonder why she’s worried… —LH

I know, right? You merge yourself with a clefairy in an experiment gone wrong once, and your mother and older sister won’t leave you alone about it! —Bill

It was three times. —LH

Those other two times were with completely different pokémon! —Bill

…wait. —Bill

Bill do you need to vent

No. I have a perfectly healthy relationship with my father, who just so happens to skip work frequently to play the Voltorb Flip machines not because he has an addiction (he doesn’t, actually) but instead because he seems to enjoy doing that to writing papers or filling out the paperwork associated with our job (which is fair but still not an excuse).

Why anyone would think I consider my father to be a growing headache is quite honestly beyond me.

As someone who’s new, question to the mod: what is the clefairy incident and was it ever explained?? I keep seeing references to it but I have no idea what it’s on about

{So! Before anything else, I kinda want to cover this other question that I’ve actually gotten a couple of times because it’s kinda important to the Clefairy Incident. But basically, Bill is a minor (canon) character in the Pokémon universe responsible for inventing the storage system, which is the thing that stores your pokémon after you catch the six you’re allowed to carry. (Lanette manages this system in Hoenn, so she’s canon too.)

That’s one thing Bill’s known for. The other thing is, well, turning into a pokémon via an experiment gone wrong. Idk, guys. It was the 90s, and everyone was making jokes about The Fly. But in any case, while that pokémon was never specified in Red, Blue, or Yellow, in the remakes of the Gen I games (Fire Red and Leaf Green), it was specifically a clefairy.

Canonically, word about this got out and spread, which we know because it’s part of the reason why Lillie leaves for Kanto in Sun and Moon. But in the canon of this blog, Bill’s less enthusiastic about talking about it, which is why he and the other storage system administrators just refer to the accident as the Clefairy Incident.}

Oh my guess was salazzle

Although Bill has questioned his gender identity before, he hasn’t gotten that far with it.

Or, well. Do furries sometimes create fursonas with impossible gender expressions? As in, could you have a male salazzle fursona? Or a male chansey, female hitmonchan, etc.?

I’d look this up myself, but I know better than to run a search for certain things.

LH, do you happen to know why bill is so exceedingly weird about anything related to steven stone?

Partially.

The interesting thing about knowing Bill for so long is you learn pretty quickly that he’s just as human as anyone else, no matter what the media says and no matter how hard he tries to act like he’s not. So with that said, he can sometimes get a little jealous.

Whether he’s jealous of A) Steven in general, B) Steven because I pay a little more attention to him than to Bill when we’re all in the same room, or C) me because Steven pays more attention to me when we’re all in the same room is something I’ve never been able to figure out. I could ask him, but … you’ve seen how he acts whenever you ask him about his interests. It’s just as bad behind closed doors.

Edit: Really, Bill? This is what gets you to text me?
