What if I hatch a bunch of Yamask eggs? Is that mass genocide?

On a serious note (compared to my last post and response to your question, that is), it actually depends on whether or not you believe wholeheartedly in the folklore associated with yamask. Given the frequency of a yamask birth, the consensus among pokémon researchers is that it’s statistically unlikely that yamask are the spirits of deceased humans. Rather, it’s more likely that yamask are simply pokémon attached to mask-like objects that, through our tendency to see ourselves in literally everything (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia), human beings have interpreted to resemble human faces.

The same can be said for phantump, actually. They’re not literally the lost souls of human children; we just created folklore that says they are because their appearances and cries resemble those of distressed toddlers. The only difference is that Kaloseans realized this rather quickly because trevenant decidedly do not resemble distressed toddlers on any level.

I have a very important question. I’ve been off the internet for a while but.. Have the Ribombee movie memes finally died? How about the memes of that one movie where a Garbodor living in a swamp and a Mudbray rescues a princess? What was the name of that movie again..?

I refuse to name that movie, as naming it will draw forth its curse (by which I mean countless upon countless of memes in the replies). As for your question about whether or not its memes or the ones concerning the Ribombee Movie have died … no. Unfortunately.

On the positive side, no one’s talking about Blizzard anymore. You could say we’ve [REDACTED]

Bill is there anything sturdy for my newly restored Tyrunt to gnaw on that IS NOT my arm or my other Pokémon?

Have you tried a nice rock?

(This might sound like I’m joshing you, but actually, rocks are highly effective for curbing a fanged rock-type’s tendency to bite. Leather strips and raw bones—never cooked ones!—are likewise pretty effective, although they don’t last as long as stone. You may find some sandstone or limestone chew toys in your local pokémart, on that note.)

Hi Bill ive got a female Burmy and Im wondering what happens if i keep it in a enviornment where it has no access to leaves, sand or rubbish (e.g. out at sea). might this be determinetal to its health or could i be on the verge of discovering a new cloak and typing for wormadams?

Burmy will often cling to whatever cloak it built prior to entering that environment, actually, and if it loses it and has nothing to use instead, it will simply go naked. Naked burmy are not actually in any danger in terms of health; they simply can’t be used for battle because they’re particularly vulnerable. In this state, they lose their secondary typing (that is, they’re simply bug), which means they lose the weaknesses of whatever that typing was, sure, but on the other hand, their defensive capabilities are hindered to the point where even the slightest Tackle can knock them out. It’s just not worth using them for battle.

Of course, it’s also worth noting that burmy can be particularly creative, and even if a burmy is wrapped up in plain pieces of paper, seafaring navigational tools, and wiring from a boat’s motor, that will still count as a trash cloak burmy, typing and all. It will also count as an effective way to strand you out at sea, so it’s not something I would particularly recommend, no.

Hi bill, river/ canal anon from a while back, I took your advice and decided on a Lotad, luckily for me a breeder had a surplus of eggs up for adoption. Mines hatched all healthy and happy but ive noticed it likes carrying things on its head like books and plates, do lotads like the pressure? might it be harmful to them? she gets abit upset when i remove anything from her even if it is a plate i thought i lost for the last 10 days.

Sometimes they do, actually. For some lotad, it’s much like using a weighted blanket or getting petted: it’s a source of constant physical contact. Just make sure she doesn’t carry anything too heavy, and it wouldn’t hurt to give her a little extra actual physical contact (with petting and so forth) now and then.

Best of luck!
