On that note, I’d also like to take the time to apologize for the fact that I haven’t answered that many asks lately! It’s been a pretty busy half a week for me, but I hope to get some out tonight. Thanks so much for your patience, everyone!}

Out of character: I’m loving this blog, I’m an ecologist and general animal rights bod and I’m loving how the way that you answer questions is obliquely questioning attitudes towards the way real life animals are treated. Thank you for the awesomeness!

{Aaah, thank you! 😀 I’m glad even actual science folks are enjoying this … largely because I’m not a scientist, so a lot of my time is spent Googling things Bill might need to know to answer asks. XD

But in any case, beyond the whole “aww yiss it seems I have avoided science fail” bits, I’d like to thank you for the compliment about animal rights and pokémon. It’s been my headcanon that A) animals and pokémon coexist and B) characters basically treat pokémon as a halfway point between animals and humans. So with a character as passionate about pokémon as Bill is, it really seemed appropriate (and convenient!) to have him go on about compassion for all living creatures—which is definitely a stance I hold myself, but Bill often words things more eloquently than I do. So it’s pretty neat to share that opinion via something I do for fun, you know?
